Mavenir Secures $100 Million Injection to Enhance AI-Driven Cloud Networking for Telecom Operators

June 18, 2026

Mavenir, a specialist in 5G infrastructure and Open Radio Access Networks, has successfully closed a $100 million funding round. This fresh capital is earmarked for the integration of artificial intelligence into its automated, cloud-based platform. The company aims to utilize these funds to not only broaden its total market reach but also to deepen its existing client relationships by offering a more diverse suite of software services. Currently, Mavenir’s footprint is substantial, serving over 250 enterprise and carrier organizations in 120 nations, which collectively reach more than 50% of mobile users worldwide.

This investment was led by Siris, a private equity firm with a long-standing history of supporting Mavenir. While the names of all participants in this latest round were not fully disclosed, the company confirmed that previous supporters Koch and Pendrell remain involved. This recent influx of cash follows a $155 million round finalized in late 2022. While the firm's current market value remains private, it was previously assessed at approximately $2.5 billion in 2020. Over the years, Mavenir has undergone several structural shifts, including a period where it served as a platform for consolidating other vendors like Xura and Mitel to better position itself for the 5G era.

Under the leadership of CEO Pardeep Kohli, Mavenir is positioning itself at the forefront of a significant shift in the telecommunications industry. Traditionally, carriers relied on expensive, specialized physical hardware to run their networks. However, a new wave of digital transformation is pushing these providers toward cloud-native software solutions that offer greater flexibility and lower operational costs. By focusing on automation and sustainability, Mavenir competes with both emerging digital-first companies and established industry giants that have long dominated the networking hardware space.

The strategic goal, according to company leadership, is to assist telecommunications providers in deploying networks that are more efficient and adaptable. By adopting practices common in the high-scale IT and cloud sectors, Mavenir intends to modernize the global infrastructure of mobile connectivity. The backing from Siris and other partners underscores a continued confidence in the transition toward networks that are fundamentally defined by software and intelligent automation rather than legacy hardware.
