SK Telecom Showcases Ethical AI Initiatives for Sustainable Progress at Social Value Festival

SK Telecom, under the leadership of CEO Jung Jae-heon, is set to participate in the third edition of the Korea Social Value Festa held at COEX in Seoul. During this two-day event starting on the 21st, the telecommunications giant will illustrate its commitment to ethical technology through its "DO THE GOOD AI" vision. This management philosophy focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance industrial competitiveness while ensuring that such technology remains safe, reliable, and beneficial to society at large.
The company has designed a 72-square-meter exhibition area themed around the concept of fostering a sustainable future through improved connectivity. To align with environmental goals, the physical structure of the booth was built using eco-friendly resources, including recycled plastics. Within this space, SK Telecom will present eleven distinct initiatives demonstrating how AI can address environmental and social challenges. Featured technologies include the "A. Family Care" system for blocking voice phishing, the "FAME" platform for identifying financial fraud, and "AI Care Call," which monitors the wellbeing of vulnerable populations. Additionally, the exhibit will highlight "CareVia," a vision-based AI tool supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
Beyond internal products, the showcase features collaborative efforts such as the "Fly AI Challenger" and "Happy AI Coding School," which focus on nurturing the technological skills of future generations. The company will also highlight innovations from startups involved in its incubation programs. A key highlight of the first day is the "SKTCH Concert," a forum where experts and entrepreneurs discuss digital inclusivity, climate disaster response, and cybercrime prevention. This session serves as a platform for startups in the "SKTCH for Good" program to present practical solutions to modern societal problems.
According to Eom Jong-hwan, Head of SK Telecom's ESG Office, the goal of this exhibition is to prove that artificial intelligence can serve as a bridge between people and society. By integrating its corporate capabilities with the creative ideas of various partners, the company aims to contribute to a more sustainable and connected future.
